Irina Khruleva was born in Moscow. She is an honour graduate of the Moscow Slavic Institute (Solo Singing department, 2013) and the Moscow Academy of Choral Art (post-graduate performance course, 2016).

In the final year of her studies she made her debut on the stage of the Novaya Opera theatre in Moscow in the role of Königin der Nacht (W.A. Mozart “Die Zauberflöte”).

​

Upon graduation she was invited as a full-time soloist to the Pokrovsky Chamber Opera Theater in Moscow (The Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, as of 2018). As part of the troupe, she has so far performed such leading roles as Zerbinetta (R. Strauss “Ariadne auf Naxos”), Königin der Nacht (W.A. Mozart “Die Zauberflöte”), Madame Herz and Mademoiselle Silberklang (W.A. Mozart “Der Schauspieldirektor”), Daughter of Podtochina (D. Shostakovich “The Nose”), Flaminia (J. Haydn “Il mondo della luna”), Vespetta (G.F. Telemann “Pimpinone”), Juliet (B. Britten “Little Sweep”) and others.

Among Irina Khruleva’s awards are the encouragement award and a special prize at Bologna International Vocal Competition (Italy, 2018) and the finalist’s diploma award at the International Singing Competition “New Opera World” (Moscow, Russia, 2016).

As of 2019, Irina is a guest soloist of the Opera House in Varna, Bulgaria.
